But, now I’m more knowledgeable! I did manage posts on Weightwatchers. I facilitate a challenge where I lead the post for the day, offer mini challenges, and keep track of people’s weight loss. Also, I have been using plurk fairly regularly since Ginger introduced me to it at the convention.

You Tube is blocked at most schools. You can download video from You Tube into quick time and play it on most any computer.
Find the video you want on Youtube (I chose medieval help desk…very funny).
In the address window highlight the address. Right click on the highlight and select copy (or copy whatever way you mac people do).
Go to zamzar.com
You will get 3 boxes that want info.
First Box: you press URL. Click in the box and paste the you tube video address in there.
Second Box: select “mov for mac” (this is quicktime) or “mpg” (media player) for PC
Third Box: put in your email. and push convert.
It will send your converted file into your email.
Open up email and retrieve zamzar email.
Choose download video.
A Save or Open box will open up. Choose Save. It will ask you where to save it. I usually have mine saved onto the desktop.
You have your video. I bring my laptop home and convert any video I need for my lessons, hook it up to the boxlight, and I’m good to go!

This is a place to talk about different issues concerning Kansas Gifted or educational issues in general. Remember to check the blog often and add comments. We’ll need participation to keep it going. What would you like to discuss?

After you’ve logged in, will you add a comment to this post introducing yourself, where you teach, any extra-curricular activities you sponsor, and something unique about yourself. If you’d like, you can add personal info. like hobbies, family etc.

On the right side of the screen are categories. I’ve put a question into each one to get us started. However, you may put anything up on the post you like.
